FLASS EMA(AME) Entrance Scholarship

The FLASS Entrance Scholarships is targeted on local or non-local students who possess high standard of academic performance and intellectual qualities who will enter self-financed postgraduate programme -  EMA(AME) in academic year 2017/18. Two scholarships will be offered and each successful applicants will be entitled to a scholarship worth HK$60,000.

Applicants should
  • hold a bachelor's degree in an arts discipline or equivalent; and
  • typically have five years of managerial experience (those with less than 5 years of experience but who are able to present exceptionally good alternative qualifications or substantial current managerial experience may also be consider for admission); and 
  • currently working in the cultural, creative or related industries.

Extra Requirements
Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution in a non-English speaking system should normally fulfil one of the following minimum English proficiency requirements:
  • IELTS 6.0; or
  • a TOEFEL score of 550 (paper-based test) or 80 (internet-based test); or
  • Grade C or above in GCSE/ GCE OL English; or
  • Band 6 in the Chinese Mainland's College English Test (CET), a total score of no lower than 430 if the test was taken after June 2005); or
  • Other equivalent qualifications.

Applicants may be invited for admission interview in person or by phone.

Applicants are required to upload your transcript(s), certificate(s), language test result(s), statement of intent, two reference letters (one of the reference letters must be from your current employer indicating his/her support to your study), working proof of current employer and other supporting documents direct at www.ied.edu.hk/acadprog/online.
